Scalable, Systemized and Certified
At Trakka Systems, we manufacture all of our products in a highly scalable, regulated environment. We base our operating procedures on the world-renowned Lean Six Sigma principles. “Lean Six Sigma” is a phrase that describes a collaborative team effort to gradually improve an organization’s performance by systematically removing its wasteful and unnecessary parts or practices. Our aim is to reduce lead-time and manufacturing cycle times by eliminating waste and increasing capacity, while lowering our cost base. We issue detailed work instructions and follow cellular flow lines for each main LRU (or “line replaceable unit”). The flow lines are transparent and provide a real-time visual cross-check to our ERP (“enterprise resource planning”) system to ensure on-time delivery. Our standard manufacturing platform can then be easily scaled up to increase production on a needs basis. Trakka Systems has achieved AS9100 and ISO9001 international accreditations for its Australian searchlight operation. AS9100 is a widely adopted standard for the aerospace industry and our system is audited and certified to the latest revision of AS9100D requirements. These important accreditations are now also being rolled out to Trakka Systems’ Swedish operation. Our certifications enable us to meet and maintain our customers’ standard requirements for each new order.

Trakka Systems provides extensive support and after-market services from our sophisticated manufacturing and support facilities in Australia, CAR30 and APMA (Australian Part Manufacturer Approval) approved. Our Swedish facilities are being readied for EASA approval for Part 21G (Manufacture) and Part 145 Maintenance. We also operate a facility in the USA in New Mexico, which is PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) and FAR 145 certified, and awaiting final “dual-release” approval.
